ABSTRACT

This study investigates the user experience (UX) of the e-learning platform of Politeknik Muadzam Shah known as CIDOS LMS PMS from the lecturer's and student’s perspective. User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ) was used as a research instrument to evaluate and quantify the UX of LMS. This study provides a comparison through a user experience questionnaire (UEQ) which has six aspects of assessment including attractiveness, perspicuity, efficiency, dependability to pragmatic quality as well as stimulation and novelty to hedonic quality. Data was collected from 123 respondents from the institution. Generally, from the perspective of students and lecturers, CIDOS LMS PMS has provided a positive user experience for them. The results show that all the scale measured has a positive evaluation where the mean for attractiveness is 1.57, the pragmatic quality mean was recorded as 1.59 and the hedonic quality result is 1.29. However, the dependability scale was assessed as below average where the mean is 1.14. This needs to be considered to improve the UX of e-learning systems and to derive more benefits from a good user experience (UX) e-learning system.
