ABSTRACT

Competition in the job market among graduates of higher education institutes (HEIs) is a commonly heard issue in Malaysia. This issue became more complicated when our country was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic which made the country's economic performance moderate and caused the need for manpower to become limited. This study was conducted to identify a comparison of the marketability of Diploma in Print Media Technology (DMC) graduates from 2020 to 2022 and to find out the marketability of graduates working in the field within three years after graduation. Quantitative methods have been used in this study with data obtained from the Portal 1L5G graduate information data collection system where the data taken are DMC, JRKV, and PMS graduates who have completed their studies from 2020 to 2022. The results of the study found that the marketability rate of these graduates showed an increase from the year 2020 to 2022. Overall, the employability of DMC, and PMS graduates shows a good percentage. Therefore, there is still room to be improved through career programs and industry experience to ensure the performance of the graduate employability rate remains good and increases.
